Two or so more weeks til things get REALLY exciting..... It's still very surreal, all of it.... I don't think it will really hit home until we are on the plane flying to Austria. It's been a great month so far. Greg did a great job sharing our heart for Austria and the people of Europe at Legacy Life Community (Pastor Gregg Jackson's church). We cannot thank LLC enough for being a great church family and thank you Pastor Gregg for being a great mentor and friend.
Also Wendy Lewen is in charge of an amazing ministry called SOAR ministries (Survivors of Abuse Restored). It allows people that have been in abusive situations to find hope through talking to women that have been through it and overcome through the blood of Jesus Christ. She has allowed myself (kita) to minister to a young lady who is my age. Life has given her the worst situations and she had made some very bad decisions but we know that our God is greater. It has been such a learning experience. God has shown me that you need to love people through their situations and, yes, you may get hurt in the process but Christ never gave up on me so I should show that same love to people.
Also we had a small family reunion at Greg's parent's house. It was a little intimidating at first but we were able to get them on bored as to where exactly we are going and how we are able to minister to a country that has less then 0.05% Christians. His family believes in what we are doing and some of them have even supported us. I am also very grateful that I have been able to meet his family.. . now I'm not just the girl from FL that took their Greg. :)
We head back to FL Oct 31st. I will miss IN and Greg's family. We have learned that we have to take this journey one step at a time and it's not easy.... but it's so worth it!
