Praise the Lord! We have been in a crazy time of transition and God has been so good.
We were contacted by the missionaries in Vienna, Austria a little less then a month ago. He informed Greg and I that with much prayer and godly counsel from many of the AGWM directors, this transition over at Vienna Christian Center would not be the best growing ground for us to minister. At Vienna Christian Center there were many hands helping and it was not as effective as it could have been. They are raising up an indigenous church that would be restructured within the next year or so. He suggested that we would not be utilized like we should and that there is a greater need elsewhere.
Pastor Henderson suggested a church that he founded in the Canary Islands. At first Greg and I had to give it a few days to settle. We Skyped the missionaries there in the islands and decided to give it a few days to seek God. After prayer and talking with Pastor John, we believe that God works things out in ways we never could've imagined. With all that being said, we finalized everything and gave our missionaries the green light, we would pursue this. It's incredible how it all works out. After getting confirmation from our MA friends in Ireland, and being willing to go anywhere that Christ would call us to, we are now missionary associates to Gran Canaria, Canary Islands.
I have waited to blog this because we just made the official announcement Sunday morning. We are sending out letters to all who are partnering with us to keep everyone on the same page. We told God we would go anywhere He sent us and we are ready to be flexible to fit God's schedule instead of our own.
This doesn't affect any of the support that was pledged or given and we believe all will understand the great need that is in the Canary Islands.... in fact, 0.2% consider themselves evangelical bible believing Christians. That is such a staggering statistic. We told God we will go where He sends us, so now it's time to live out what we preach. :))))) We are very excited and we know it can be a bit of a shock at first but the way God set it all up we believe this is what He had in mind from the very beginning. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to hit us up on our Facebook page :) We look forward to hearing from you! Thank you again :D
