We are Thankful for...

Here in Spain Thanksgiving isn't a holiday, however, both Greg and I choose to celebrate it here because we believe that Thanksgiving is one of the most important holidays. Being thankful is vital in life...

"in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
1 Thessalonians 5:18

WE ARE THANKFUL FOR...

We can't even begin to articulate how grateful we are for the love of Christ. He is the very reason we live and breathe. He gave us the freedom to completely surrender our lives to Him. He gives us purpose and because of His atoning sacrifice (taking our punishment for our sin) we can live.

There was a beautiful quote I (Kita) stumbled across by C.S. Lewis
"You have not chosen one another, but I have chosen you for one another."
It has been such an incredible journey we have taken together. We are each others best-friends and I know that wherever we are, it is home. God really knew what He was doing when he allowed me to be the grateful wife of such a Godly husband.

We have a great support system that began long before we were ever on the field as missionary associates, our families. We are so thankful that we were both raised to fear God and go wherever and whenever he calls us. We several times we have received boxes that are sent to the island, with treats, and birthday and anniversary cards... we knew that when God called us, it would affect our families as well and we thank you, family, for always having our back and continuously cheering us on.

We could not have hand picked better mentors than whom we have right now. The minute our feet hit the ground here in Gran Canaria, Steve and Dawn Robertson were right there. They prepared an apartment with everything we would need for our first week including a fridge full of food. They have helped us with the language, the culture, teaching us how to grow closer to God and closer to people. It is an honor to call them mentors, friends.... FAMILY.

We are so blessed to have such great friends by our side, whether we are in the states or on our island. We know that it has not been easy for our friends in the states. We love you all and can't wait to be able to see your faces again. To our new friends here on our island, thank you for taking us in with open arms and your constant encouragement and patience as we learn to adapt to our "new home". We love you all.

Supporting missionaries or missionary associates is a calling all on it's own. When God first called us to missions, we had no idea how humbling and incredible of a life it would really be. We wholly believed that God would provide and He has completely! It is quite amazing to see how God uses those who work to allow us to spread the gospel half way around the world. Thank you for believing in the call placed on our lives and thank you for being obedient to the call placed on your life.

Okay, Okay, I know this one is a bit odd but let me explain.
We are so thankful that there is technology to be able to stay connected to those we love, those who support us, and those with whom we are reaching out to share the Gospel. We love staying connected to people and we love being able to reach to a new generation of people that are constantly looking for answers (whether that be with Google, websites, or social media).

We are excited about this amazing holiday and we want to say:
