Almost February!

So we have been here for over three weeks. We are slowly getting settled into this brand new culture. It's been both fun and challenging. Learning a whole new language and how to function in Spain can be exhausting but there are so many relationships that are being built here. We are also settling into our new home. There's still plenty of decorating to do but that will come with time.

This last Sunday Pastor and his family went to Tenerife (another Island close by) to preach and hold a youth service. While they were ministering there, we had opportunity to watch their little Jack Russel Terrier (a short wired hair dog) and also to help Roberto and Lily set up for Sunday. It was great how it all worked out. Greg did a great job transitioning from worship to offering and announcements, Lily rocked with her preaching.

We also had an incredible opportunity to eat lunch with and hang out with two great women of God, one from Denmark and the other from Scotland. That was such a blessing being able to talk and hang out with them.
We were also invited to a pastoral meeting (which was all in Spanish) and was able to meet pastors from all over the island. We still feel a bit out of place for our lack of speaking Spanish but they made us feel very welcome.
We are learning the ropes around here and are able to start working on projects for the church. We have a team from the states coming in a few months and an Easter production to help set up. I (Nikkita) am getting involved with worship and Greg is being awesome like he normally is :).
It's a very exciting and challenging time here but all glory be to God for His faithfulness and His love! To live with purpose and be driven by the love of Christ to advance His Kingdom (no matter where you are) is the greatest honor in this life!

*Please be praying for us these next few weeks. Spiritual warfare is a very real and tangible thing here. Pray for unity in the body of Christ and to be a light in darkness.
Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer.*
